    Conceptual Model to Enhance Creativity of the Batik Industry

    Creative industry are defined as industry derived from the use utilization of creativity, skills and individual talents of individual to create wealth and generate employment by producing and exploiting individual creativity. Creative industry’s contribution to National GDP is equal to 7.8% at 2002-2008. Batik industry is one of the creative industry are included in the crafts sector. The purpose of this research is to develop a conceptual model to enhance creativity batik industry. This conceptual model was built based on four aspect, namely Press, Person, Process, and Product (4P). Press or creative organizational climate will stimulate the development of creative human resources (person) and creative process (process). The interaction between the creative process (process) with the creative human resources will produce a creative product(product). Creative products is the real object that can represent creativity

    The purpose of this research is to develop a conceptual model of creativity in batik industry. This model was developed by conducting a study from previous research that discuss important factors for the development of creativity. This conceptual model was built based on four variable, namely creative person, intrinsic motivation, job skills training, and creative organizational climate. Creative person will stimulate the creativity development in batik industry. A creative person are more able to improve their creativity if they have intrinsic motivation, given some training that related with the job skills they needed, and supported by organization that have positive climate (climate in organization that respects creativity, provide opportunities, time, facilities, infrastructure and incentives to employees to think about, designing, researching and developing new products that better and more innovative). For the further research, this study can be continued by testing the model empirically through distributing the questionnaire to some participant of SMEs and processing data from the results of questionnaire distribution using the data processing software like SPSS, LISRELL, etc

    Memahami pelanggan dan mengidentifikasi kebutuhan mereka menjadi sangat penting dalam menjalankan bisnis dalam era informasi, karena pelanggan adalah urat nadi operasi perusahaan. Kecakapan memahami dan memenuhi harapan-harapan pelanggan harus menjadi filsafat bisnis setiap perusahaan dan manajemen. Perusahaan harus mulai memusatkan perhatian pada strategi-strategi untuk memuaskan dan mempertahankan pelanggan yang ada, sekaligus menarik pelanggan baru. Tingkat kualitas produk dan layanan operator telepon selular yang diterima oleh pelanggan akan berpengaruh pada kepuasan dan loyalitas pelanggan. Berbagai masalah seperti kegagalan incoming/ outgoing, tidak ada sinyal, drop call, gangguan Flexi Combo dan lain sebagainya, merupakan permasalahan yang sering dikeluhkan oleh para pelanggan Flexi Trendy yang ada di wilayah Jawa Tengah & Yogyakarta. Permasalahan ini merupakan faktor pemicu terjadinya churn (kartu hangus atau pelanggan beralih ke operator lain) pada pelanggan Flexi Trendy. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Customer Value Analysis. Sasaran utama dari Customer Value Analysis adalah memahami penyebab konsumen memutuskan untuk memilih satu dari sekian banyak produk atau jasa. Customer Value Analysis menggunakan seluruh informasi yang diperoleh dari konsumen untuk menunjukkan bagaimana pelanggan tersebut membuat keputusan dalam suatu pasar, yang pada akhirnya lewat informasi tersebut suatu perusahaan dapat melakukan suatu perubahan untuk memastikan pelanggan untuk membeli produk atau layanan perusahaan tersebut. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penyebab churn pelanggan Flexi Trendy adalah sebanyak 42 % beralasan karena susah dibawa keluar kota, 36 % beralasan karena sinyal yang kurang bagus dan jaringan sering sibuk, 11 % beralasan karena keinginan mencoba untuk menggunakan layanan selular operator lain baik layanan selular berbasis CDMA maupun GSM, dan penyebab churn yang terakhir 11 % beralasan karena tarif telepon dan pesan singkat Flexi Trendy yang mahal. Faktor yang paling dipentingkan pelanggan dalam menilai atau mengevaluasi kinerja layanan selular CDMA yang digunakannya antara lain, tarif layanan (38,25%), sinyal & jaringan (29,25%), fitur (19,25%), dan Customer service (13,25%). Jumlah Market Perceived Quality Profile Score untuk Flexi Trendy (103,48), Esia (119,13 ), StarOne (103,48), dan Fren sebesar (79,40)

    Implementasi Posture Evaluation Index untuk Perancangan Meja RBTI dengan Menggunakan Virtual Environment Human Modelling

    Reading Room of Industrial Engineering (RBTI) is one means of supporting the learning activities in the form of a library that is located on the 2nd floor of Industrial Engineering Diponegoro University campus. The desk is one of the main facilities that should be considered in service in RBTI. The results of the initial questionnaire to 30 respondents indicated that 66.67% of respondents felt less comfortable to design a desk that is due to be bent so that the user can read and write well. This study examines aspects of ergonomics in a virtual environment on actual desk, so that aspect of ergonomics can be compared to recommended desk that have been adapted to the size of its anthropometry. The purpose of this study is to provide an assessment and compare the posture of the user using the actual desk to recomended desk by using Posture Evaluation Index (PEI). PEI integrate low back value analysis (LBA), Ovako working posture analysis (OWAS) and rapid upper limb assessment (RULA). Analyses were performed using a virtual human model that is provided on the software environment jack 8. The results showed that the actual value of PEI at the table have a higher value than recommended desk. This indicates that the lower the PEI value, the better the posture

    Using Sustainable Balanced Scorecard and Graph Theoretic Approach to Make Decision in Reverse Logistic

    The aim of this study is to identify the decision should be made by the company to manage their reverse logistics activity. In this study, the company should decide whether the reverse logistic activity must be outsourced part of reverse logistics activity or all must be outsourced or nothing must be outsourced. The object of this study is PT. XYZ - a foreign-owned electronics company and there is four scenario for reverse logistic activity proposed by the company. This study uses a graph-theoretic approach as the method to consider interdependencies and maintaining the hierarchical relationship among attributes and sub-attributes which is important to determine the best scenario of reverse logistic. The attributes and sub-attributes were selected by combining four traditional balanced scorecard perspectives with two perspectives of sustainability, i.e. environmental and social. This research used primary data collected by distributing closed questionnaires to the management of the company. The data processing with a graph-theoretic approach generates the permanent function which is known as the outsourcing index for each scenario. The outsourcing index for first until the fourth scenario is 52.71, 70.97, 89.86, and 81.27 respectively
